Wig Types
Ready-to-Wear Wigs
Ready-to-wear wigs are designed to be easier to wear with minimal preparation.
Depending on the wig, this may include features such as pre-cut lace, pre-plucked hairline, bleached knots, or a glueless-style cap.
Please read each product description carefully, as preparation and styling may vary by wig.
Glueless Wigs
Glueless wigs are designed to be worn without glue, depending on the cap construction, fit, and customer preference.
A glueless wig may include combs, clips, elastic bands, adjustable straps, or a snug cap structure to help with security.
For the best fit, please check the product description and cap details before ordering.
Lace Front Wigs
Lace front wigs have lace mainly at the front hairline area.
They are usually designed to give a more natural-looking front hairline while the rest of the wig cap may be made with a stronger cap construction.
Closure Wigs
Closure wigs usually have a smaller lace area, such as 4x4, 5x5, 6x5, or 6x6.
Closure wigs can be easier to maintain and may be more beginner-friendly than full frontal wigs.
Frontal Wigs
Frontal wigs usually have a wider lace area, such as 13x4 or 13x6.
A 13x4 frontal gives lace across the hairline with about 4 inches of parting space.
A 13x6 frontal gives lace across the hairline with deeper parting space.
Frontal wigs may allow more styling flexibility, but they may also require more care and proper installation.
Lace Information
Lace helps the wig blend more naturally along the hairline or parting area.
Common lace types may include:
| Lace Type | What It Means |
|---|---|
| HD Lace | Thin, delicate lace designed to blend more naturally with the skin |
| Swiss Lace | Soft lace that is commonly used for lace wigs |
| Transparent Lace | Light-colored lace that may need tinting or makeup to match some skin tones |
| Pre-Cut Lace | Lace that has already been cut before delivery |
| Pre-Plucked Hairline | A hairline that has been lightly customized for a more natural look |
| Bleached Knots | Knots that have been lightened to help the lace look more natural |
Lace is delicate and should be handled carefully.
Do not pull, scratch, or tug harshly on the lace. Damage caused by improper handling is not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or store credit.
Wig Cap Size Guide
Most wigs come in a standard or medium cap size unless stated otherwise in the product description.
Use this as a general guide:
| Cap Size | Head Circumference |
|---|---|
| Small | Approximately 21 to 21.5 inches |
| Medium / Average | Approximately 22 to 22.5 inches |
| Large | Approximately 23 to 23.5 inches |
Some wigs may include adjustable straps, combs, elastic bands, or a glueless cap construction to help improve fit.
If you are unsure about your cap size, measure around your head before ordering.
How to Measure Your Head for a Wig
Use a soft measuring tape and measure around your head.
Start at the front hairline, go around behind the ear, around the nape of your neck, behind the other ear, and back to the front hairline.
The tape should sit flat and snug, but not too tight.
If your measurement is between sizes, please contact us before ordering.
Hair Length Guide
Hair length may appear different depending on the texture.
Straight hair usually appears closest to the listed length.
Body wave or loose wave hair may appear slightly shorter because of the wave pattern.
Curly, deep wave, water wave, kinky curly, or tighter textures may appear shorter because of shrinkage.
For textured hair, length is usually measured when the hair is stretched.
Hair Length Appearance
Use this as a general guide:
| Texture | How Length May Appear |
|---|---|
| Straight | Usually appears true to length |
| Body Wave | May appear slightly shorter due to the wave pattern |
| Loose Wave | May appear slightly shorter and fuller |
| Deep Wave | May appear shorter because of tighter waves |
| Curly | May appear much shorter because of curl shrinkage |
| Kinky Curly | May appear the shortest because of tighter shrinkage |
If you want a longer finished look in curly or wavy textures, you may want to choose a longer length.
Wig Density Guide
Wig density refers to how full or thick the wig appears.
Use this as a general guide:
| Density | Look and Feel |
|---|---|
| 130% | Light and natural |
| 150% | Natural fullness |
| 180% | Full and popular for everyday glam |
| 200% | Extra full |
| 250% | Very full, thick, and dramatic |
Higher density wigs may feel heavier and fuller.
Lower density wigs may feel lighter and more natural.
Please review the product description before ordering, as density may vary by wig.
Bundles Information
Bundles are usually sold by length, texture, and weight.
A bundle is not the same as wig density. Wig density refers to fullness on a finished wig, while bundles are usually measured by bundle weight and the number of bundles used.
Longer lengths usually need more bundles for a full look.
Curly and wavy textures may look fuller than straight textures because of the curl or wave pattern.
Bundle Guide
Use this as a general guide:
| Hair Length | Suggested Bundles for a Full Look |
|---|---|
| 10 to 14 inches | 2 bundles |
| 16 to 20 inches | 3 bundles |
| 22 to 26 inches | 3 to 4 bundles |
| 28 inches and longer | 4 or more bundles |
If using a closure or frontal, the amount of bundles needed may vary.
For a fuller look, longer lengths, or very straight textures, more bundles may be needed.
Hair Texture Guide
Common hair textures may include:
| Texture | Description |
|---|---|
| Straight | Smooth, sleek, and usually true to length |
| Body Wave | Soft waves with movement and volume |
| Loose Wave | More defined waves with a fuller look |
| Deep Wave | Tighter wave pattern with more texture |
| Water Wave | Soft, wet-look waves with volume |
| Curly | Defined curls with shrinkage and fullness |
| Kinky Curly | Tighter curls with the most shrinkage and volume |
